FAQ Registration

Why should I register early?
Camp Nageela offers a special discount for early bird signups. By registering early, you will receive $100 off the camp tuition. PLUS the first 3 campers to sign up for 2015 will get a special prize, and registration week will offer more prizes on a daily basis.

How much money do I need to put down now with the application?

The standard camp application must be completed with the required deposit of $300 that goes towards the overall camp tuition.

What if we will need scholarship assistance to come to camp?

In this situation, we strongly recommend that you register now to receive $100 off. All scholarship funds allocated will then be in addition to this discount. It is extremely beneficial for you that our scholarship committee will note that you have taken advantage of any/all discount and grant opportunities available before requesting additional assistance.

Our scholarship fund will open in the late fall and we will then send you an application. Should the amount from the scholarship fund be insufficient for your family, you will have 2 weeks (from the time you receive your scholarship amount) to withdraw your camp application and receive all funds deposited returned in full (including the initial deposit).

My child will be a first-time camper. How can I apply for the first-time camper incentive grants?

Most first-time campers are eligible for a $1000 incentive grant through the Foundation for Jewish Camp.  The application for the One Happy Camper first-time camper incentive grants opens in Oct. At this time, please complete the standard camp application with the initial deposit of $300. We will inform you when the camper grant application is open for you to apply.

Is the first time grant able to be used in conjunction with the early bird discounts?

It depends.  Some of the One Happy CamperGrants are fnded by outside organizations, and can be combined with our early registration incentives.  However, if you're not eligible for OHC, you can still get a first time grant from Camp Nageela West, but that can not be combined with early registration incentives.

What if my child doesn't end up going to camp?
Should you choose not to attend camp, the standard camp cancellation protocol will be followed- Cancellations before April 1 receive all funds returned but will be charged a $75 processing fee. After April 1, there are no refunds. Should the camper not be attending camp due to extenuating circumstances (family emergency, illness, etc) then a decision for a full refund will be made on a case by case basis.

What does it mean to bring a friend? What does it mean to earn double referral credit?
In Camp Nageela, "Friends Bring Friends." New campers are most often introduced to the world of Camp Nageela from other campers. We offer an incentive of a $100 tuition credit for each new camper you refer to the Nageela experience.  It's a "Win Win" Situation! Your friends will receive the special summer savings discount towards their camp tuition and you will receive double the referral credit towards yours! Please do not hesitate to call our office with any registration questions at 801-613-1539.
